Every year I look forward to Daisho as the con where I get to not worry about how things are running and just enjoy myself. Also, the martini bar downtown.
I'm pretty sure that that falls under the umbrella of "you cannot please everybody". I've unofficially adopted that as my mantra whenever I'm working a con. Even the best possible plan will leave a handful of people unhappy--that's to be expected. Some people are just more vocal about it than others!
I am only slightly disappointed that Meep did not perform the ceremony in Esperanto. Other than that, it was a beautiful ceremony, a fun reception, and an all-around gorgeous day. Weddings don't get any better than that.
Congratulations, Trae and Crysta. I wish you two all the happiness, health, and love the world can offer.
I recycle characters all the time. So far, the only one you've encountered is Vera--and I'm probably going to use her again (although in an entirely different context).
There's also Iris, who was originally created for a series of fantasy stories. She (and her younger sister) made a brief appearance in one of the Zombie House D&D campaigns.
But the one I reuse most is probably Meraden, with or without her counterpart Thomoroc. I think I've used her particular character concept five or six different times, altered slightly to fit the plot.

I seem to be having this sort of experience more and more often myself--which is odd because I don't spend nearly as much time on stage as you. In fact, I think I was only on stage for opening and closing ceremonies last year.
Are you at least enjoying the Flogging Molly? Also, going to bed at nine-thirty is nonnegotiable in my case, but to be fair, getting up at quarter to five every morning is a killer. I sometimes doubt my own humanity these days.
